Curtis gallery is titled
Autumn in the Valley and
features guest artist,
Wanda Pépin from the
Applegate Valley area.
Pépin's technique is to
layer vibrant acrylic paint to
create tangible texture in
her nature studies. Using a
palette knife, she brings
falling leaves, a cluster of
blossoms or twisted tree
bark to life. Many mornings
finds her standing before
her easel, painting a leaf or

England, Greece and Mexico just to name a few. She finds painting fulfilling
and expressive. "I totally lose track of time, going right inside the work." she
said. Prints are available for some of her work, such as the gnarly
bristlecones which have been some of her most popular pieces. The ancient
trees are well suited for Pépin's multi-tonal, dimensional, textured style.
