The Hills Are Alive with Color
Original 24"x30" painting on 1 1/2" deep
gallery wrapped canvas from the Autumn
Series by Wanda Pépin. Very textured,
painted with a palette knife. Painted
using vibrant yellows, oranges and reds
with a heavy gel medium. The hills
overlooking Ashland, OR were aflame
with color last autumn. That was the
scene that inspired this painting.
This painting is done on luxury linen
gallery wrap canvas with a clear gesso
background. Some of the linen shows
through the background giving it rich
dimension and texture.
